His legacy can still be seen today in the distinctive architecture of the ch\u00e2teau, built in a Tudor style inspired by the English Renaissance, a unique silhouette in the M\u00e9doc landscape. In December 2019, the Le Lous family took over the estate and opened a new chapter in its history. This takeover was accompanied by significant investment aimed at enhancing the quality of the wines while developing a modern and responsible approach to viticulture. The Ch\u00e2teau Cantenac Brown vineyard extends over the prestigious gravel plateaux of Margaux and Cantenac. The vines cover around 48 hectares and are surrounded by a natural park of nearly twenty hectares, a true refuge for wildlife and plants. The grape varieties are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Driven by the search for balance between nature, culture and the expression of the terroir, the family has undertaken an ambitious transformation of the ch\u00e2teau. This took shape with the construction of a new gravity-fed vat room, inaugurated for the 2023 harvest. This innovative winery, built of raw earth and untreated wood, allows precise plot-by-plot vinification in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit and achieve the greatest precision in the blends. The wines of Ch\u00e2teau Cantenac Brown stand out for their fine tannins, elegant texture and great aromatic intensity.
