The whole is harmonious and already very open. The medium-bodied palate charms with its ripeness and the quality of its fruit, supported by a beautiful purity of expression. The texture stretches with precision, offering depth and balance, without any herbaceous notes or harshness. With an accessible and elegant charm, this wine has a beautiful capacity for evolution, hinting at an interesting ageing potential.<\/p>\n<h2><b>The Estate<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Ch\u00e2teau Gruaud Larose is one of the great historic estates of the M\u00e9doc. The estate was passed down through the generations and is now run by the Merlaut family. Classified Deuxi\u00e8me Grand Cru in 1855, it has established itself as a benchmark of the Saint-Julien appellation. The vineyard covers approximately 82 hectares in a single block of deep Quaternary gravel over a clay-limestone subsoil. This configuration, combined with a favourable climate, ensures good soil drainage and even ripening of the grapes. The grape varieties are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines, planted at high density, contribute to the quality and concentration of the grapes. The estate is committed to an environmental approach, with conversion to organic farming and the adoption of biodynamically inspired practices aimed at preserving the natural balance of the vineyard.
