The vineyard covers 36 hectares on a high gravel terrace close to Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Yquem. It is planted with 93% S\u00e9millon, 6% Sauvignon and 1% Muscadelle. The historic plots of L\u2019Enclos and the Maisons Rouges lie on Quaternary gravel deposited on an Aquitanian limestone substrate.
