Its tannic structure, both ample and pronounced, gives it a beautiful structure.<\/p>\n<h2 data-rm-block-id=\"block-4\"><strong>The Estate<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The name Ch\u00e2teau Haut-Bages Lib\u00e9ral combines the Bages plateau with the name of the Lib\u00e9ral family, who developed the estate in the 18th century. The land assembled south of Pauillac led to its recognition as a Grand Cru Class\u00e9 en 1855. Claire Villars-Lurton later took over the running of this family estate and undertook in-depth work on the relationship between the vines and their environment. The vineyard covers around 30 hectares in two blocks. One part lies on the deep gravel of the Bages plateau; the other runs along the Gironde estuary, near Ch\u00e2teau Latour, on more clay-limestone formations. This distribution gives the estate complementary soils and contributes to the singularity of its expression. Since 2007, agroecology and biodynamic practices have played a growing role in the management of the plots. The estate has been certified organic since the 2019 vintage and also holds Demeter biodynamic certification. The pursuit of active soil life goes hand in hand with work aimed at better expressing the characteristics of each sector of the vineyard. Haut-Bages Lib\u00e9ral offers a Pauillac profile in which the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon comes with a sense of freshness and a mineral dimension.
