“Black currants with a touch of violets on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with subtle concentration, charm, freshness and a consistent finish of dark fruit. The wine reveals itself slowly.”
The Estate
In 1525, the “Village of La Lagune” was built. The Chartreuse was built between 1730 and 1734. Château La Lagune joined the very exclusive circle of the Grands Crus Classés in 1855. The famous geologist René Pijassou regarded the estate as the model of the Médoc island. Its soil, made up of light gravel and silica, helps give the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grace, balance and finesse alike.
