Critics’ scores and tasting notes
“Aromatic and already expressive, sharp and minerally, with a vibrant, stony, nervy texture. It shows dimension and freshness. A blend of 75% sauvignon blanc and 25% semillon. Ample, but also tight and well balanced.”
Acquired by the Mau family in 2004, Château Brown is a historic reference in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Located on an emblematic gravel terroir, perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, it follows an exacting approach combining tradition and innovation. Managed for more than twenty years by its passionate technical director Bruno Patrouilleau, the vineyard benefits from recognised and consistent expertise. The estate also stands out for its strong environmental commitment: High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, no herbicides, anti-botrytis or CMR products whatsoever and 70% biocontrol products. Biodiversity is at the heart of the project, with 45% of the land not planted with vines and preserved as a natural haven. Each bottle discreetly bears the dove, a symbol of this commitment.
