Critics’ scores and tasting notes
“Lots of blue fruits and boysenberries, with redcurrants, forest floor and violets. Full and compacted with beautiful tension and focus, and fine and structured tannins. 100% merlot. From organically grown grapes.”
The history of Château Peby Faugères dates back to the 16th century, when the Esquissaud family decided to acquire the vineyards of Châteaux Faugères and Péby Faugères. Several owners followed one another until Silvio Denz took over this magnificent estate in 2005. In 2012, Château Peby Faugères became a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion. Constantly seeking perfection, Silvio Denz surrounded himself with the best: with the help of the renowned oenologist Michel Rolland and his team, he turned this small, exceptional cru into a unique wine!
