Critics’ scores and tasting notes
“Lots of purity, with freshness and a linear, evenly distributed dark fruit profile. There is elegance and a chewy texture that’s precise and focused, with good definition.”
The history of Château Pédesclaux began in the 19th century when Urbain Pierre Pédesclaux decided to acquire the vineyard plots. Several owners succeeded each other until Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti took over the estate in 2009. In 2012, the first trials in organic and biodynamic farming began. 2014: new gravity-fed winery designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. 2019: the first official year of conversion to organic farming. Under the guidance of Emmanuel Cruse, the wines have taken on a new dimension, with much more complexity and depth, embodying the density found in Pauillac.
