“Enticing aromas of black currants, sweet tobacco, orange peel and peach blossoms follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and spicy, meaty and lightly chocolaty flavors. It's long and flavorful yet refined. Drink in two or three years.”

The Estate

Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the leading estates of the Graves. This Grand Cru Classé stands out for the singularity of its terroir. In 1996, Château Malartic-Lagravière joined the Bonnie family, who run the estate today. The very next year, a profound transformation began: modernisation of the technical facilities, construction of a state-of-the-art vat room and greater attention to the vineyard. Under their leadership, the estate made spectacular progress and established itself as one of the essential references of Pessac-Léognan. Today the vineyard covers around 73 hectares, the vast majority devoted to red wines. The red grape varieties are mainly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in balanced proportions, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wines of Château Malartic-Lagravière stand out for their balance between intensity, depth and elegance. Complex and expressive, they offer a harmonious structure and fine freshness that contribute to their ageing potential.
