Critics’ scores and tasting notes
“Blackberries and pencil shavings with blueberries and dark chocolate follow through to a medium body with a solid core of pretty fruit and a polished and refined palate. The tannin structure is very impressive, yet there is an underlying freshness. Drink after 2027.”
In the heart of the Margaux appellation, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Marquis de Terme embodies the elegance and finesse characteristic of the fine wines of the Médoc. Since 1935, the estate has been owned by the Sénéclauze family, who take care to preserve the identity of the estate and the signature of its wines. The vineyard covers around 40 hectares on a central plateau made up of gravel ridges typical of the Margaux appellation. The grape varieties reflect the Médoc tradition, with a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, accompanied by Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wines of Château Marquis de Terme are characterised by their harmonious structure and refined aromatic expression. They reveal silky textures and fine density, while retaining the freshness and delicacy characteristic of the appellation.
