Critics’ scores and tasting notes
“Subtle and friendly, with a medium body, nice tannins and delicate fruit. Balanced is the word. Lovely pure fruit at the end. 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc.”
Nestled on the border of Pomerol and an immediate neighbour of Cheval Blanc, Château La Tour Figeac benefits from an exceptional terroir of sandy gravel and sand over clay, which lends its wines a rare elegance and remarkable aromatic intensity. Owned by the Rettenmaier family since 1973 and farmed organically for more than twenty years, La Tour Figeac is now established as an essential reference among the Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion.
