“Very good, bright fruit with a floral edge to the red cherries and currants. A hint of paprika, white pepper and olives. Nicely balanced and structured, this has supple medium body and an extremely long finish. Juicy, pristine and firm. Lots of poise and beautiful fluidity. 94.5% cabernet sauvignon. From biodynamically grown grapes.”
The Estate
It was in the 14th century that the Durfort de Duras family settled here, later giving its name to Château Durfort-Vivens. In 1824, the Vicomte de Vivens added his name to the château. The manual work carried out in the vineyard gives this Grand Cru all the richness and complexity that characterise it. In its approach of preserving and respecting the soil and subsoil, Château Durfort-Vivens stands out as an exceptional terroir. The conservation of the terroir and the perfect harmony between nature and man promise nobility to this wine.
